Accommodation in Southampton

We are based at the Highfield Campus, University of Southampton.

There are several accommodation options available in Southampton, both on the Science Park where we are based, near the airport and train station, and in the city centre.

How To Get To Us By Car

We are based at the Chilworth Science Park, which is just off the M27 north west of Southampton.

From London and the North

Travel south along the M3 following signs for Southampton A33. At the end of the M3 is the Chilworth roundabout. Take the third exit to Chilworth following signs for Romsey A27, and continue for 1 mile.

SatNav users beware: do not turn left beside the Chilworth Arms, there is no access to the Science Park from Manor Road.

Turn left into the Science Park, proceed along University Parkway until the roundabout and turn left into Enterprise Road. Gamma House is the second building on the left; visitor parking is 100m further on, at the far end of Enterprise Road.

From Bournemouth and the West

Travel East along the M27 following signs for Portsmouth. Take the 4th exit at junction 5 onto the A335. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Bassett Green Road (A27). Continue to the Chilworth roundabout and take the second exit following signs for Romsey A27. Continue for 1 mile, then follow directions from London.

From Portsmouth and the East

Travel West along the M27 to junction 5. Take the first exit onto the A335. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Bassett Green Road (A27). Continue to the Chilworth roundabout and take the second exit following signs for Romsey A27. Continue for 1 mile, then follow directions from London.

How To Get To Us By Train

You can get to us in just over an hour from London by train. The nearest railway station is Southampton Airport Parkway. We are a 15 minute taxi ride from there.

How To Get To Us By Air

Southampton Airport offers flights from/to numerous UK and European destinations. Hubs such as Amsterdam and Paris offer connections world-wide.

Other Airports

London Heathrow is fairly convenient; the journey takes between one and two hours, depending on how you travel and the time of day. London Gatwick is about a two hour journey. London Stanstead and London Luton are not recommended as they are the far side of London and the journey takes several hours.

To get to/from London Airports, you can take a National Express coach. The coaches stop near the centre of Southampton. Depending on the time of day, a taxi ride from there is 15-20 minutes.
